Lithuanian Raisin Bread (Velykos Pyragas)

Recipe For Bread Machine

  • 1 cup milk, scalded

  • ½ cup white raisins

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 1 egg

  • 1 package active dry yeast

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 3 cups finely sifted flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Cool milk to lukewarm. Add milk to bread machine.

  • Combine egg, raisins and butter. Add to milk.

  • Add flour,¼ cup sugar, salt and yeast

  • Set to regular bread mode
